Garden Writing Session: August

Come be part of a community garden building project this summer! Find out how the practice of planting can inspire creative writing. In 2025, the Writing Garden Project features four free planting and writing sessions.

Workshop Leader:

Dana King Dana King is a multimedia artist focusing on poetry, photography, and papermaking. They find inspiration in the spaces where internal and external landscapes meet. As an artist living with an invisible disability, Dana makes work that celebrates the resilience and persistence of this community. Dana has taught courses and workshops in book arts for the University of Iowa Center for the Book, the University of Iowa International Writing Program’s Summer Youth Program, and Public Space One. Currently based in Iowa City, Dana loves every wolf and dog.
