About the event
Adam Edelman’s work has appeared in Narrative Magazine; Fugue, Forklift, Ohio; decomP; Bridge; DeLuge, Barnhouse, and The Raw Art Review. His chapbook, 'It's Becoming A Lot More Difficult to Feel Unchanged' won the 2020 UnCollected Press Chapbook Prize. He holds an MFA in poetry from the New Writers Project at the University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in creative writing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He teaches at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky.
Eric Roalson has self-published 3 poetry books, and participated in a few Strange Cage readings organized by Russell Jaffe in the mid-2010s. In his youth, he was involved in the music counterculture in both rock and experimental music. He is currently writing a book on Iowa City’s alternative music scene from roughly 1966 to 1986.
Danielle was raised in the Midwest and was the Rona Jaffe fellow in poetry at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her first chapbook, Teenage Exorcists, is available from Slim Princess Holdings. She teaches in Iowa City.
Micah Bateman is an assistant professor in the School of Library and Information Science at the University of Iowa and author of a chapbook of poems, Polis.
Sara McGuirk currently teaches at the University of Iowa Magid Center for Undergraduate Writing. She holds an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and a BA in English and Film Studies from the University of Notre Dame. She was short-listed for the 2021 Harbor Editions Laureate Prize and named a finalist for the 2021 Sappho's Prize in Poetry. Her work can be found in Gulf Coast, Denver Quarterly, the Iowa Review, the Bennington Review, and forthcoming in Third Coast.
